Pro Bono

George Warner is a long-time Board Member and former President of the Twin Cities Aikido Center, Inc. (“TCAC”). The TCAC is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) educational institution and the largest Aikido practice hall in the Upper Midwest.

Warner is also an active member of the TCAC Yudanshakai. He began formal Aikido training in 1992 under Akira Tohei, Shihan, was awarded his Shodan certificate (first-degree black belt) by the Reverend Zenko Okimura Shihan in 2004, and his Nidan certificate (second-degree black belt) in 2011 by Yoshimitsu Yamada, Shihan. Warner also serves the TCAC as its pro bono legal counsel and as an occasional instructor.

George Warner frequently serves low-income individuals by providing credit and collection-related pro bono legal services through the Volunteer Lawyer Network (“VLN”) and Volunteer Attorney Program (“VAP”).

The overriding goal is always the same: find the money; get the money. But the right ‘how’ can wind through so many different paths; it’s what makes collections uniquely difficult. It’s all about having the skills and experience to know how to read the terrain and tell your client where to go.”
